Virgil Adams, 74, of Malvern passed away December 14, 2014. Virgil was born September 25, 1940 in Malvern to Edgar and Edna Adams. Virgil loved to dance and always stepped on his wife’s toes. He was of the Assembly of God faith. Virgil was also retired from the Army National Guard.
Virgil is predeceased by his parents; grandson, Terry Don Adams; and sister, Patricia Brown.
Virgil is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Adams of Malvern; sons, Rickie (Tammy) Adams of Benton, Bruce Adams of Malvern, and Robert Eric (Kim) Adams of AL; daughter, Vickie Lynn Adams of Malvern; sisters, Mary Efird of Malvern and Carolyn (Hesley) Beck of Malvern; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Jones Cemetery with Bro. Ray Belk officiating. Full Military Honors will be rendered by the Army Honor Team.
Pallbearers will be Danny Beck, Charlie Craft, Eric Adams, Justin Adams, and Randy Hooper.
